Today I had to help We r London, they had a missing camera man so I had to fill in for them and help them film their show. It went well but the group needs to rehearse a bit more.
Being a camera man for We R London was quite easy there was not really much to do because most of the times the camera shots were the same. There was hardly any movement within the guests and host because they were sitting down throughout most of the show.
At some points in filming I had to zoom in and out , my main focus was on the guest.

24/01/2017 meeting
Our rehearsals went really well , the run through ran smoothly , everything went good. This was the best rehearsal we have had as a group.
Our group worked well with each other. I was the camera person my role was to track the presenter and I had done a great job with that.
We were given feed back for our group and bellow is the feedback that we were given to improve:
making sure the guests have their coats off
make the set look like a set
get our idents (group logos)
The presenter needs to stop turning his back to the camera
our group work was 11 minutes long, it needs to be 20 minutes so we will be adding in adverts and trying to make the show even longer so it can be longer.
By improving and taking in these feedbacks this will help our group to perform much better in order for our production to be good quality and for our grade not to drop

meeting 17th jan
This footage shows our group meeting before our group production.
Today our group recording went really well, we set up on time and got on with the filming, the filming process went really well.
Before the meeting we were discussing our roles , who is doing what. For example for the camera team we discussed about keeping all our cameras to one level and trying not to shake or move the camera whilst filming because this would make the footage look terrible. We also discussed how our set is going to look and what we need to do to make it look better. We also discussed adding in background music for when the contestants are playing the games because this makes the show seem more professional

Today we r london was filming, i had to be one of the guest for the show but unfortunately due to technical difficulties and late issues , the other group was not able to film their show.
Being a camera man for We r London went well and ran smoothly because we didn't need to do much. My main focus was on filming the two guest, it was fairly easy because the guest were sat down for most of the show and all I need to do was zoom in and zoom out as I was instructed to. The reason why I found it easy because I didn't need to track the guest because they were sat down for the entire time of the show.

Here is some feedback that was given to us, the feedback was very important and valuable because it will enable our group to perform much better. Danielle's feedback was useful because it made our group realise how important every action we make is and how much of an effect it will have towards our grades. She told us the people who are filming to learn the shooting script so that when we are filming we know what shots we are supposed to do so that things do not get complicated. Our group also got the feedback of being more organised because some members of our group did not know how to play their role and when and this had an affect on our group production.
what we need to improve on as a group
- sound needs to be recorded and sync and sort out a jingle
-save snaps that we have used so it can be shown on the screen instead of tim to show the camera
-sort out back drop
-have a hand held camera which can be behind the contestants when they are making their snap

We had a test run in the classroom because the tv studio was being used by another class so Tyler and Tom came to our class with the Ipads and the ipad stands and showed us how to use the software that we will be using. The software was cool and I adapted quickly in learning how to use it. we were shown how to switch to the different cameras and how to zoom in and zoom out.
The software was installed within the iPads and it was professional. We were taught different types of techniques on the app

On the 3rd of January we began doing our test runs with the contestants and our group. I was the middle camera man and this was the footage that I had filmed. We used our Ipad's to film, so far things went well but there was a bit of lack of communication within our group and with the contestants. The contestants were not fully aware of what they were doing and how the game show works. Also some individuals in our group was not aware of what roles they were supposed assigned to which caused a problem in our group due to the high tension.
At first non of us camera men knew what we were doing , we didn't know what shots we had to use because we had forgotten to use the shooting script. But then eventually the shooting script was given to us and it was not very clear`, it didn't not make sense. Some shots did not go with the specific scenes at the time so our director told me just to carry on filming in the long shot that I was filming since I was the middle camera. I found my job easy, I enjoyed filming.
